A Nashvillian since 1988, Steve lives with his wife, Shelton, their three young children Mercer, Cooper, and Cameron, and their Golden Retriever Sosa. The Greenes are avid runners and have completed a total of 13 marathons, 9 completed by Steve and 4 completed by Shelton, since 1997. These races include: the Chicago Marathon, the Boston Marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon, and the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon.
When Steve is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. During the fall of 2007, Steve served as an assistant coach on his daughter Mercer's Brentwood YMCA U5 soccer team. He is an active member of the Green Hills Family YMCA board and United Way of metropolitan Nashville. His other interests include reading The Wall Street Journal, Sports Illustrated Magazine, Cigar Aficionado Magazine, and John Grisham novels.
