PearlPoint Cancer Support

From the time a person hears the words “you have cancer,” PearlPoint Cancer Support is there to help create a more confident cancer journey. The nonprofit organization provides a broad range of customized services through its online tool, My PearlPoint, including nutrition and side effect management, treatment information, and one-on-one support.

Steve Greene's personal battle with cancer led him to PearlPoint for information and resources that would help guide him through his treatment and recovery. “The one-on-one support and guidance I received from PearlPoint helped me navigate through the process,” said Steve. “It was a vital part of the extensive support system that surrounded my family and me at that time.” Learn more about Steve's uplifting story of survival.

In 2014, PearlPoint assisted 150,000 cancer survivors and co-survivors within all 50 states and 173 countries. Greene & Associates is pleased to support this important organization.

Fight Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among men and women in the U.S. Cancer survivor and advocate Steve Greene and his colleagues at Greene & Associates support Fight Colorectal Cancer, a leading advocacy group in colorectal cancer awareness, patient education and research programs. An active resource team provides patients and their families with educational resources about colon cancer screening, treatment, clinical trials, financial assistance and more.

Each spring, Nashville volunteers hold an annual public awareness campaign -- One Million Strong –to raise awareness of colorectal cancer, encourage screening and celebrate survivors. A volunteer leader with the organization, Steve spoke at the 2015 event to share his cancer and survival story and urge volunteers to help continue the fight against this disease.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

Greene & Associates joins Northwestern Mutual offices across the country in supporting ALSF, a national childhood cancer philanthropy that emerged from the front-yard lemonade stand of a 4-year-old pediatric cancer patient, Alex Scott (1996 – 2004). In 2000, Alex announced that she wanted to host a lemonade stand to raise money that would help find a cure for all children with cancer. She set an ambitious goal of $1M, and many joined in the effort to help her achieve it. Alex's effort sparked the creation of ALSF and a national fundraising movement that has raised over $100 million and funded more than 475 pediatric cancer research projects to date.

Northwestern Mutual offices have raised more than $7 million, helped fund 50,000+ hours of research and provided support services to more than 3,200 children and families. Our local offices raised nearly $15,000 last year, which funded 7,000 hours of research.
